After nearly two years of exhibition construction, the new Da Nang Museum was officially inaugurated and opened to visitors on April 26, 2011. This marked a significant achievement and a new milestone in the city’s museum development.

Da Nang Museum is a prominent and important cultural institution of the city and stands as one of the most modern and well-equipped museums in Central Vietnam. Its exhibitions cover diverse themes, feature a rich variety of artifacts, and come alive through recreated spaces, all presented through the perspectives and methods of modern museology. Many original documents and artifacts of historical and cultural significance, including rare antique collections, were displayed to the public for the first time.

The museum collectively illustrates and highlights the historical and cultural development of Da Nang and its people—from the early days of land exploration and defense against foreign invasions, through the struggle for independence, to the periods of peace, renovation, integration, and growth into one of the most dynamic cities in Central Vietnam.
