Choosing Natural Wood Flooring
Selecting natural wood flooring is not only about its captivating, deep beauty that no artificial flooring can replicate, but also about choosing a material that is both elegant and safe for human health.
Understanding this, Real Tree not only chooses the finest and most stable types of wood but also ensures that every coating layer is the safest possible — resistant to scratches, preserving the authentic color of natural wood, and most importantly, safe and friendly to human health.
UV COATING FOR NATURAL WOOD FLOORING
At Real Tree, our floorboard coating line is among the most advanced and modern systems imported from Germany.
Each plank is coated with Treffert UV coating, a water-based product manufactured in Germany — one of the highest-quality and premium UV coatings available today.
Natural wood floors at Real Tree are finished with five layers of UV coating, cured using ultraviolet light, ensuring the flooring is highly resistant to warping or swelling.
Besides providing high-quality natural wood flooring, we also offer UV coating services for flat surfaces using our automatic coating system.
WHAT IS UV COATING?
UV coating technology refers to coatings that cure under ultraviolet (UV) light, specifically designed for wooden furniture products. This technology offers several advantages over traditional coatings such as PU, NC, or AC.
Advantages:
✔️ Light yellow to transparent color, maintaining the natural beauty of wood.
✔️ Extremely fast curing time (almost instant when passing through the UV oven).
✔️ Klumpp coatings contain very low levels of chemicals, making them safe for users and environmentally friendly.
✔️ Provides excellent coverage, scratch resistance, and protection against wear, weather, and other damaging factors.
Additional Benefits of UV Coating:
✔️ Excellent adhesion and high surface hardness with a high solid content.
✔️ Resistant to fading, harsh weather, and high temperatures, and prevents yellowing.
CHARACTERISTICS OF UV-COATED NATURAL WOOD FLOORING
✔️ Free from harmful substances such as formaldehyde.
✔️ Safe for skin contact or accidental oral contact with the surface.
✔️ The coating contains no vinyl resins.
✔️ Does not release toxic gases when burned or decomposed.
✔️ Excellent adhesion to the wood surface.
✔️ Retains the natural color of the wood.
✔️ Enhances abrasion resistance, hardness, and scratch resistance of the flooring surface.
UV COATING PROCESS FOR WOOD FLOORING
Step 1: Base Coating — Creates adhesion between the wood and subsequent coating layers, ensuring durability and maximum protection.
Step 2: Infrared Drying — Each wood plank is dried with specialized infrared dryers to enhance surface hardness and achieve a perfect finish.
Step 3: Filler Coating — Smooths the surface of premium wood planks and covers natural imperfections.
Step 4: UV Drying + Primer Coat 1 & 2 — The planks undergo UV drying and are coated with the first two primer layers under strictly controlled conditions at Real Tree to enhance adhesion and surface smoothness.
Step 5: UV Drying + Sanding + Dust Removal + Primer Coat 3 & 4 — The second round of priming and sanding removes dust, increases bonding, and prepares the surface for the final coating.
Step 6: UV Drying + Sanding + Final Coating — Adds the top protective layer, giving the floor its scratch-resistant and glossy finish.
Step 7: Final Inspection & Finishing — The product is completed and ready for market distribution.
Currently, there are very few suppliers on the market equipped with such advanced coating technology and high-quality UV coating materials that meet both performance and safety standards.
Therefore, it is essential to carefully evaluate and research before making a purchase to avoid unnecessary issues or product defects.
With carefully selected wood materials and state-of-the-art coating technology, Real Tree delivers products that are not only aesthetically refined and safe for human health, but also uphold the highest standards of quality.
